The Indian Meteorological Department issued a red alert for the entire territory of Kerala during the next 24 hours.
Since August 8, the state has registered 67 fatalities due to the monsoon rains, including 25 on Wednesday 15, according to the chief minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan, quoted by The New Indian Express.

The brand new metro line in Cochin, which entered service last year, announced that it suspends operations due to the increase in water level in the Muttom Yard area.
