A man opened fire in a Yoga studio in Florida. Upon seeing himself surrounded by the police, he took his own life with his own weapon.
At least two people were killed and four were injured after a shooting occurred inside a yoga studio in Tallahassee , the capital of Florida .
The author of the shots allegedly killed himself after the incident, local authorities said .
Alison Faris, a spokeswoman for the municipality, announced that the person responsible for the shooting was dead as a result of “a self-inflicted bullet wound,” according to local newspaper Tallahassee Democrat.
In the wake of the attack, which occurred in a yoga studio on the top floor of a small two-story commercial building , four people were injured and their condition is unknown , said city administrator Reese Goad.
The newspaper notes that Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare hospital spokeswoman Danielle Buchanan said that after the incident five people have been admitted to this medical center and are being treated.
The fact deserved that the mayor of the city, the democrat Andrew Gillum, who is in an electoral race for the state governor, temporarily suspend his campaign and congratulate the “rapid response” of the local security forces.
No act of armed violence is acceptable, “Gillum wrote on his Twitter account, in which he reported returning to the Florida capital.
So far, the authorities have not revealed the identity of the perpetrator or the possible motives for the attack, and a strong police presence remains in place.
