The Shanghai SIPG, coached by Portugal’s Vítor Pereira, rose to second place in the Chinese Premier League on Wednesday after receiving and thrashing Tianjin Quanjian, who is led by Paulo Sousa, on Matchday 15, 4-1.
The goals of the match were all marked by Brazilian players, especially Oscar, who scored for the team of Vítor Pereira, in the 46 and 53 minutes. Elkeson, at 12, and Hulk (ex-FC Porto) at 28, made the rest of the Shanghai SIPG.
Striker Alexandre Pato scored the only goal of Paulo Sousa’s team in the 27th minute.
With this triumph, the Shanghai SIPG climbed to second place in the Chinese championship, with one point down, and also one less than Shandong Luneng, who leads.
For its part, Tianjin Quanjian fell to eighth place, to nine points in first place.
