Are you a person earth, water, fire or air? Know the emotions that define you.
In the millenary science that is Ayurveda there is a tradition of observation of the human being to identify their emotional tendencies and how they are forming their personality. Within the foundations of Ayurveda are the theory of the five elements that make up the human being: ether, air, fire, water and earth.
These five elements are present in each one of us, but there is one of them that predominates, that takes control of the physical and mental panel. Each of these elements bring with it a set of qualities and emotions.
Earth is the heaviest element of the five and consequently the least mobile. The main characteristic of this element is loyalty. When a person is loyal to his feelings, loyal to the people he loves is a characteristic of a land person. They are people who support and nourish those who love and are around them. However, sometimes loyalty becomes harsh, the earth becomes heavier and tries to control everyone it loves and supports. Loyalty in your beliefs can turn against you and your health but it is difficult to change your way of thinking … this is the challenge of person earth.
Water is the element with fluidity, its characteristic is adaptability. Water people have a way of being soft and easily adapt to the circumstances and the people around them. They are not conflicting people. However, when there is an excess of this quality, the water person does not make his own decisions in life and has problems in identifying what he really likes. This person flows without generating conflict which forces him to take paths that he does not want to follow out of fear.
Fire is the hot and sharp element its characteristic is clarity. The fire person is a person with a lot of clarity in mind, observes the problem and knows how to solve it, is very efficient in his work and at home. However, that clarity can be exacerbated when the fire in the mind increases and he believes he is the only one who knows how to solve problems, he becomes a perfectionist. The fire person can burn with his words to those around him being very sharp in his criticism.
Air is the element with lightness and mobility. The air person is very mobile, likes to come and go is not afraid to try the new, on the contrary is bored with the routine. He is an explorer of the world and of experiences. However, excess air leads people to a point where they are exhausted all the time and fail to achieve their goals in life, spend a lot of energy in new projects that lead them to not achieve what they really want. So much movement makes them unstable, with the people they love and with their own values and loyalties.
What person are you? We are all different and it is best to know ourselves to understand the differences with others. Accepting ourselves, our characteristics and emotions as they are, in order to value and change what we do not want in order to be happier.
