The film “White Boy Rick”, directed by Frenchman Yann Demange, premiered on September 14 in theaters in the United States. This dramatic film is based on the true story of Richard Wershe Jr., who at age 14, became the youngest FBI informant in history, and years later, he ends up being arrested for drug trafficking and sentenced to life imprisonment.
On the red carpet at the premiere of the film, which took place at the Paris Theater in Manhattan, Alfonso Díaz, journalist from New York, spoke with part of the cast of this production. “‘White Boy Rick’ feels like a fable, in a way, like it was not real, but it was and it happened in a particular situation, it’s a hopeless tale of what to do and what not to do,” said actor Jonathan Majors.
The talent that participates in the film is complemented by Richie Merritt, Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Bruce Dern, Bel Powley and Piper Laurie.
