One of the writers of the next film of the arachnid hero revealed that the character of Miles Morales is inspired by the saga starring Sylvester Stallone.
At first glance, it seems that Spider-Man has nothing in common with Rocky Balboa , that legendary boxer played brilliantly, to date, by Sylvester Stallone .
But Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse says just the opposite. This new installment about the arachnid hero, through the boy Miles Morales , is, in fact, inspired by the athlete.
Cinema Blend revealed that one of its scriptwriters took as its base the jabs and uppers of one of the most famous movie characters.
According to the writer Phil Lord , who also participated in Lego: Batman , the idea was that people first met Miles before showing any other character that could steal a minimum of attention.
“It’s an interestingly structured film , because, for a long time, Miles is in the film on his own and none of the other protagonists appears until the 35th minute of it . As for that part, we are really fans of the first long acts, where you really know the character and what drives them, “said the creative.
“One of the movies we saw was Rocky . The first hour of Rocky is just Sylvester Stallone walking around Philadelphia, talking to people and advising them about their lives. It’s great! And that’s part of what makes you love the character, “he revealed.
In this animated adaptation, the arachnid alter ego of Morales coexists with other Spider-Mans of different universes, as happened recently in the comics.
