Movie Review: The Equalizer 2 – The Revenge

Antoine Fuqua knows that there is only one reason people go to the movies to see The Equalizer 2 - The Revenge : Denzel Washington's two-hour promise to kill villains and bone to cretin as easily as someone passes the shirts to iron - thinking better, perhaps there is more tension in this domestic task, there is always the possibility of creases or burn clothes, while here for a second there is no doubt that Robert McCall, the former military man who is dedicated to justice, will leave unharmed and ready for more adventures. This sequel tries to tell us that "now it's personal", the usual clichéused to increase the drama, but none of that makes a big difference in a film in which the narrative is just a pretext. Anyway, if there has to be an American ninja, let Denzel, even on autopilot.

“If there’s got to be an American ninja, let’s be Denzel, even on autopilot,” writes Tiago R. Santos in his critique.
