The first opinions about the film are the most positive for the ‘spin-off’ of the saga, directed by Travis Knight, which will hit theaters on December 28.
On the run in the year of 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie, on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken.
The movie Bumblebee is now ready for his first solo adventure. The spin-off of the Transformers saga directed by Travis Knight will hit theaters next December 28th. And the first reviews already point to it as “the best movie in the Transformers saga”.
The first reviews of the film have appeared on Twitter, and are most positive. Bumblebee is very different from the rest of the films in the Transformers franchise . The film goes back to the 80s, and recovers the original designs of Generation 1 Autobots and Decepticons of the television series.
The director Travis Knight wanted to give a much more intimate and human approach to the film, focusing the story on the young Charlie ( Hailee Steinfeld ) and his relationship with the newcomer to Earth Bumblebee. And it seems that the filmmaker has managed to win the critics.
Erik Davis , of Fandago , did not hesitate to point out Bumblebee as the best film of the franchise.
“Bumblebee is the best Transformers movie, and also my favorite,” he writes in a tweet. “Hailee Steinfeld elevates any scene in which it appears, and the original appearance of the robots makes it much easier to follow the action.”
“Also, it’s great to have a Transformers movie that really talks about something”; adds Davis in another tweet. “Bumblebee is a sweet and exciting movie about finding your own voice, great soundtrack.”
Other reactions allude to the good work of Knight and screenwriter Christina Hudson , ensuring that “Bumblebee did everything right: the characters, the treatment, the heart and even the explosions”, just like Chris Sylvia .
In general very positive reviews for the first solo spin-off of the beloved Autobot yellow, which is willing to hit hard among the most staunch fans of the Transformers franchise .
Note that none of the reviews refers to the work of John Cena , who plays the human villain of the film.
