The top five US broadcasters have completed most of their renewal and cancellation decisions ahead of their official show schedules for the 2018/2019 season. 64 series were renewed, 33 were left on the way and 9 were still waiting for the final verdict.
After a tragic Friday that led to the completion of 16 series , the cancellation count continued to soar on Saturday, with CBS giving notice of the end of Scorpion , Kevin Can Wait , 9JKL and Superior Donuts .
Once Upon a Time , Scandal , The Middle , The Originals and New Girl were the only series to be entitled to an early announcement of their end, which allowed them to build a proper narrative without the famous cliffhangers .
A special note for the case of Brooklyn Nine-Nine , a series that was canceled by FOX , to be saved by NBC the very next day.
Still without its destiny defined are nine series: Code Black ( CBS ); Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD ( ABC ); Gotham , Lethal Weapon , LA to Vegas and Ghosted ( FOX ); Champions , Law & Order: True Crime and Timeless ( NBC ).
Updated on 05/14: Gotham and Lethal Weapon have been renewed , one of them for their last season. Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD also stamped the passport for another year, bringing the number of renewals to 68.
Updated to 05/24: LA to Vegas and Code Black were canceled, making 34 cancellations.

Updated the 29/06 : Ghosted and Timeless canceled. Of the 106 series, 67 were renewed, 35 were canceled, two were canceled and then saved by other channels, with two last questions remaining: Law & Order: True Crime and Champions .
